Second Alumni/Student Career Forum, Sept. 21

Event Details

On Saturday, Sept. 21, HMC will hold its second Career Forum, a collaboration between the Alumni Association, Office of Career Services and Office of Alumni and Parent Relations. We are searching for alumni volunteers willing to meet with students who are interested in focused career development. The forum will encourage students--from first years to seniors--to begin honing future goals for employment, graduate school and/or fellowship opportunities.

We are seeking alumni who can engage, support, and share information about their career paths, whether conventional or unique. Volunteers will help students examine subfields and types of work within various fields of study and will share ways that students can best prepare for job and internship searches. We need volunteers who have practical information about graduate school or fellowships. Our goal is to show students a broad range of experiences to demonstrate how the breadth and depth of an HMC education is great preparation for the future--whatever direction they decide to take.

The Career Forum will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Linde Activities Center. Prior to the Career Forum, volunteers are invited to join us for an alumni lunch at noon. Following the forum, there will be time to mingle at a wine and cheese reception.  Business casual attire is requested for alumni volunteers.
